About RidgeSync

RidgeSync is a free, web-based backpacking trip planner. It puts the whole trip on one map: routes snapped to real trails, day-by-day itineraries with camps, food and water planning, weather along the route, and a share link your trip partners can open anywhere.

What RidgeSync does

  • Draws hiking routes snapped to real OpenStreetMap trail geometry, with live mileage, elevation gain, and estimated moving time.
  • Splits trips into days, each with its own route, camp, markers, and stats.
  • Plans food with a trip pantry: calories and pack weight tracked per meal stop.
  • Shows weather located along the route for your trip dates, not a generic town forecast.
  • Shares trips as public links with route-map preview cards; recipients can save an editable copy.
  • Syncs with a companion iOS app that adds offline map downloads.

Pricing

The core planner is free. RidgeSync Pro costs $39.99 per year with a 7-day trial and adds unlimited trips, offline maps on iOS, full trip weather, unlimited photo stops, and AI itinerary import/export.
